FTKE Postgraduate Research Seminar 2025

About This Seminar

This one-day research seminar aims to provide a platform for supervisors to systematically monitor student research progress, as well as for students to share their research progress and get feedback. Presentation is compulsory for all MEKA, MEKM, and PEKA research students with active status who are currently registering in the 3rd semester and above of their study session. FTKE postgraduate students must submit their full article upon the presentation on the seminar day to guarantee publication in the e-TechVolt (academic publication by the FTKE).

Programme

  • 8.30 am – 10.00am Presentation Session 1
  • 10.00am – 10.30am Morning Break
  • 10.30am – 1.00pm Presentation Session 2
  • 1.00 pm – 2.30pm Lunch
  • 2.30 pm – 4.00pm Presentation Session 3
  • 4.00 pm – 4.30pm Best Presenter Awards
  • 5.00 pm End of Research Seminar

Parallel Session Venue: Bilik Mesyuarat Utama, Bilik Bincang  & Bilik Seminar FTKE.

Time allocated for each oral presentation is 15 minutes presentation and 5 minutes for question & answer.

Scope

The scope of the research seminar includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  • Robotics And Industrial Automation (RIA)
  • Energy And Smart Grid Technology (ESGiT)
  • Electric Vehicle, Power Electronic, Machines and Drives (EV-PRODRIVES)
  • Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (REAT)
  • Electrical Asset Condition Monitoring (e-AMCM)
  • Drone Technology (DAI-TECH)


All FTKE postgraduate students are required to prepare a full manuscript of 6 to 10 pages for submission in conjunction with the Research Seminar. The manuscript should reflect the student's current research progress.
